ASAP strives to maintain low overhead. Core programming is administered by part-time staff, and approved instructors receive a modest honorarium for their services. Contributions are directed toward supplies, space, transportation and direct delivery of services to participating children. ASAP serves about 50 children per session, many of them supported by the generosity of individual sponsors. All donations to ASAP are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. " ASAP has been a tremendous lift for our students who are involved—to the point that it has created a waiting list of students who want to participate. It gives students the opportunity to create, to be artists, to be musicians, … and has added to their self-esteem, [creating] a new sense of awareness in their abilities to do something positive. "
