The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next-best time is today.

Planted early and nurtured over time, a child's creativity and self-esteem can, like a tree, grow and blossom. Take time today to make a difference in a child's life by supporting ASAP.

Volunteer

Painting StudioASAP succeeds in large part because of dedicated volunteers who grow strong, positive relationships with our students to help them develop their unique talents.   Each week, more than thirty volunteers are needed to assist the teaching artists in the studios and to help ensure the students have a safe and productive learning environment.  No art experience is necessary — only an interest in helping the children realize their potential!

Teach

Painting StudioASAP studios are run by teaching artists — individuals with professional or extensive experience in their chosen medium who care about and relate to the program participants.  Studios cover the gamut of arts—2D and 3D visual, theatrical, musical, literary, and more.  If you'd be willing to consider organizing a studio or lending your artistic experience, we would love to hear from you!

" One only has to look at the faces of the children when they are working, or watch their behavior when presenting their projects to their parents to see the difference this [program] is making today. One can only shudder to think of the cost to our collective futures if tomorrow’s George Washington Carver, Muhammed Ali, or Barack Obama is not given the opportunity to find success in formative years aligned to the gifts and strengths for which they are destined.
