The ASAP Studio Approach

Ceramics Studio

Drum Studio

Dance Studio

ASAP's organizational model is hands-on art studios, or classes.  Students meet on site, have a healthy snack, participate in an opening activity to transition from the school day, then the group breaks into thematic studios which meet independently in a classroom setting, with each student having access to the instructor and a number of dedicated volunteers.  All materials are provided and space is appropriate for the work.

Past Studios

ASAP's studio schedule varies each session based upon the availability of instructors and the overall balance of course offerings.  Students rank their preference for studios when they enroll, and are assigned to a studio for the entire session. Examples of past studios include:

" I LOVE the teacher-student ratio. The kids are enjoying so much adult attention. They feel special that someone is taking time to sit with them and teach them. What a message to send to a child who is just beginning to wonder what the world holds for him/her in the future. When studies look at adults who achieve success from a difficult childhood background, the thing they find in common is that SOMEBODY in their lives believed in them, mentored them, and encouraged them to keep learning.
